Harvey Olson, the victim of an alleged beating on Jan. 22, has died, according to his sister.
Patty Olson confirmed the death of her brother. She said her brother succumbed to injuries sustained from the alleged attack at about 9 p.m. on Friday at a Reno hospital. Harvey Olson was 61.
Harvey Olson and friend Rick Johnson, 51, were dining at the Overland Hotel when, according to Rick Johnson's wife, Linda, all three were allegedly attacked by Levi and Kevin Travis.
Rick and Linda Johnson also suffered numerous injuries after the alleged attack, Linda Johnson said.
Kevin Travis, 52, is from Stanley, Idaho, while Levi Travis, 20, according to court documents, has a Fallon address. The two, however, left Fallon after posting bond and are presumed to have returned to Stanley.
The Travises were arrested by Fallon police at about midnight on Jan. 23 and posted more than $100,000 combined bond by 6 a.m. The men have retained attorney Dave Houston of Reno. The Travises are scheduled for an arraignment in Justice Court on Feb. 13.
The Churchill County District Attorney's Office, however, has yet to file charges because the two men posted bond, thus giving the prosecutors more time to gather evidence and file charges before the Travises' first court appearance, according to Deputy DA Robert Erquiaga.
