Mitt Romney captured 47 percent of the vote Saturday at the Churchill County Republican caucus.
According to the Churchill County Central Republican Committee, 766 registered Republicans cast votes during a two-hour period in the morning. The results were released after 5 p.m.
Romney captured 362 votes and won 15 of 19 precincts. Newt Gingrich edged Rick Santorum, 144 to 140. Each candidate won a precinct.
Ron Paul, who placed second in the caucus to Romney four years ago, came in fourth this time around with 119 votes. He won two precincts.
There was also a no vote on one ballot.
During the caucus, each precinct selected a chairperson and secretary as well as delegates to next month's county convention. Each precinct also solicited input from voters in order to formulate a platform for the convention.
