Robert “Bob” Duane Pierson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and huggable curmudgeon, will be laid to rest Feb. 6, 2012 in Twin Bridges, Mont. near the mountains and evergreen trees that he loved. He was a patriot who served this nation in the U.S. Air Force during the early days of the Cold-War and as Deputy Sheriff for Storey County, Nev. He stood in the gap where others would not. Dad was “jack-of-all-trades” and a master of many; a mechanic, logger, geo-thermo driller and a farrier.
With his adventures in between, he leaves us an exemplary legacy of honor, integrity and service dedicated to God, family and country. A wife, two brothers, three sisters, six children, 19 nieces and nephews, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren will miss him until we meet again.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Twin Bridges High School Booster Club, c/o Ruby Valley National Bank, 107 South Main St., Twin Bridges, MT 59754.
