Skate shop food drive

Classic Skate Shop is doing a food drive. For every can of food donated, the donor receives a raffle ticket.

Donations are accepted through Dec. 23, and a complete skateboard valued at $170 will be raffled that day. If the winner is not interested in skateboarding, he or she is encouraged them to donate to Toys For Tots.

Nine Ladies Dancing

Holiday Faire

“Nine Ladies Dancing” Holiday Faire is Nov. 20-21 at 1165 Bon Accord Lane.

Friday hours are 5-9:30 p.m., and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. There is still room for artists and crafters.

Christmas Bazaar

The annual Christmas bazaar sponsored by United Methodist women is on Dec. 5 from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. at 280 E. Stillwater Ave.

American Legion craft sale

The American Legion' Auxiliary Unit 16 at 90 N. Ada St., is having a craft sale on Nov. 21, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Tables are available to rent for $15 each. A limited amount of tables are available.

Stocking Stuffer Motorcycle Run

The fifth annual Stocking Stuffer Motorcycle Run for the seniors is Dec. 5. Meet at the Old Wal-Mart parking lot at 10 a.m., with departure at 10:30 a.m. to parade through town and ending at the Eagles Hall.

All street legal motorcycles, car clubs and community are invited. The cost to enter is an item to be used as a stocking stuffer for a senior resident of our community. Suggested items are lap blankets, manicure sets, puzzles, slippers, slipper socks, stocking hats, knitted scarves, flannel p.j. pants, sweats, gloves, puzzle books, picture frames, photo albums ... the more creative the better.

This event is sponsored by the Eagle Riders of Fallon.

Thanksgiving food bag drive

The Fallon Thanksgiving Food Bag Drive is looking for donations of the following items: Boxed mashed potatoes, boxed stuffing mix, canned vegetables and money donations or gift certificates for turkeys, rolls and pies.

Items may be dropped off at these locations through Nov. 20: Eclipse Salon, 1775 W. Williams Ave.; Berney Realty, 290 W. Williams Ave.; Flower Tree Nursery, 2975 Reno Highway; and Right Away Rent to Own, 1035 S. Taylor St.

Emblem Club crafts fair

The Emblems Club will have its annual crafts fair at the Fallon Elks Lodge, 93 W. Center St., on Dec. 5 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Lunch will be served all day. Rentals for an eight-foot table are $15 each. Home-baked goods are also available. A raffle will be held with many great prizes.

CCJHS Christmas Craft Fair

Churchill County Junior High School, along with Alpha Theta Sorority, is hosting a Christmas craft fair on Dec. 4-5. The hours for Friday are 6-9 p.m. and on Saturday, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Admission will be $1 per person or can food items which will go to the food pantry. There will also be raffle prize drawings. Sponsors are looking for vendors at $25 for a booth for both days with only 40 booths available.

Annual Christmas art fair

The Sagebrush Sisters Artist Co-op second annual arts fair will be at Fallon's historic old post office on Maine Street on Dec. 4 from 5-9 p.m., and Dec. 5 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Buy something unique for everyone on your Christmas list — pottery, jewelry, candles, soaps, watercolor and oil paintings and so much more, all made by local artists.

Something for every budget. Credit/debit cards will be accepted for your convenience. A portion of the artists' participation fees will go to support Domestic Violence Intervention of Fallon. Enjoy sweet treats while you shop! 

Ornament extravaganza

Friends Family Resource Center will be hosting its 12th annual ornament extravaganza. on Dec. 16 from 6-8 p.m in the Northside Elementary School cafeteria, 340 Venturacci Lane.

Participant will be making take home Christmas crafts, and participants are welcome to have their picture with Santa Clause.

There will be new winter hats and gloves given away. This is a community event so everyone is invited to attend. For information, call 428-2600.

Support Toys for Tots

Members of the High Desert Attachment of the Marine Corps League are asking you to join us in supporting the Marine Corps Reserve “Toys for Tots” program. The campaign that collects new unwrapped toys for local needy children.

You can help by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy at one of the local drop off locations. Just look for the “Toys for Tots” boxes or posters in many local merchant windows. For information, call 423-5851 (weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or marinedog@charter.net.
