If the success from the younger divisions is any indication, the future is bright for Greenwave football.
Four of the five Fallon SYFL football teams won over the weekend and advanced to Saturday's championship game at McQueen High School. The Greenwave Bandits, Renegades, Freshmen and Junior Varsity teams all won last Saturday, but the Mavericks came up short of completing the sweep for Fallon.

The Bandits defeated Dayton, 26-0, and will play Fernley at 8 a.m., while the Renegades, who defeated Reed 38-6, will play McQueen at noon. The Freshmen beat Lassen, 25-14, and will take on Damonte Ranch at 2 p.m., and the JV team's defense prevailed in a 6-2 win over Fernley to earn a 4 p.m. date with Yerington. The Mavericks lost to Damonte Ranch, 19-6.
