The North Central Narcotics Task Force investigation that saw the arrest of nine local residents on charges ranging from trafficking in controlled substances to child endangerment on Oct. 16 has added one more individual.
Tracy Tebbe, sister of Tami Tebbe, stood before Justice of the Peace Mike Richards on Thursday for her status hearing.
Tracy Tebbe was arrested on one count of attempted selling/transporting of a controlled substance; one count of selling/giving/transporting a controlled substance in the presence of a child and attempted conspiracy of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act.
However, Tebbe was released on her own recognizance by Richards and ordered Tebbe to maintain her residence with her mother, Toni Lakke.
Conditions of Tebbe's release prohibit the use of drugs or alcohol and subject to search and seizure by any law enforcement agency.
Should Tebbe violate the terms of her release, she will be arrested immediately and taken into custody.
“The terms of the plea agreement are, hopefully, to avoid a felony conviction,” Public Defender Paul Draculich said.
“She is the mother of three and has virtually no criminal record history.”
Assistant District Attorney Lane Mills argued the state should be concerned, but agreed to the strict conditions of Tebbe's release.
Richards said Tebbe also has to maintain weekly contact with her attorney and if she fails to appear for any court date, a warrant will be issued for felony failure to appear.
Tebbe was charged with a Category C felony after her arrest. Tracy and Tami will both appear in District Court at a later date.
