Long time Fallon resident, Georgia Gray, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 5:10 p.m. while surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services will be held at Smiths Family Funeral Home in Fallon on Friday, Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. Viewing is Thursday, Nov. 5 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Georgia was born in Pittsburg, Okla. to Arizona and RD Crawford. She is the oldest of 10 children. She moved with her family to California while she was a young child. She met Keith Gray in California and they married in Tulare on Jan. 14, 1944. The Gray family moved to Fallon in 1955 where Georgia worked for many years at Churchill Public Hospital as a licensed practical nurse where she touched the lives of many people. Georgia loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and served Him fearlessly, teaching His word to both young and old.
Georgia is survived by her husband, Keith Gray; daughter, Donia Cole and husband, Earl; son Keith Eddie Gray and wife, Mary; nine brothers and sisters, Wayne Crawford, Ray Crawford, Betty Atkins, Wade Crawford and wife, Madine, Addie Barkman, Glenda Brown and husband, Paul, Trudie Heath, Alta Soule' and husband, Leon, Lloyd Crawford and wife, Carla; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, Stephen Cole and wife, Lori and children, Aaron and Michael, Beverly Harrigan and husband Mitch and children, Hawley, Keith and Ally, Scott Hawley and children, Jacob and Alyssa, Renee' Crapo and children, Josh and Indy, James Gray and wife, Stacy and children, Jacob, Sierra and Carson, Matt Gray and wife, Bridgett and child, Natalie, Mark Gray, Mary Erin Gray; many, many nieces and nephews. Georgia was preceded in death by her father and mother and her youngest child, Jerry Gray.
Georgia was not only greatly loved by friends and family but also full of love for all of us. Our world will be a little less bright with her not here. We know our loss is Heavens gain.
