Walk-in clinic offers evening hours

A new walk-in clinic that opened Monday at Banner Churchill Community Hospital offers later hours to customers.

The Walk In Clinic is located on the third floor of the hospital's Physician Center and will be open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The provider is Nurse Practitioner John Morrison, who previously worked in the hospital's emergency department.

“There was more of a need to have the clinic open later into the evening,” said Amiee Fulk, public relations specialist at the hospital. “It's a great option when you can't get a same-day appointment with your provider, don't have a primary care provider or have out-of-town visitors.”

The convenience care clinic that was formerly located on the first floor of the Physician's Center was closed and transformed into an infusion center for cancer patients. Fulk said the infusion center offers private rooms for patients during infusions, which can last up to two hours.
