The Fallon 11-70 all-star baseball team begins its quest toward a state title as it hosts the three-day tournament, beginning tonight at Oats Park.
Spanish Springs and Silver State open the double-elimination tournament with a 5 p.m. tilt, while Fallon hosts Sun Valley in the nightcap at 7:30 p.m.
The winners of both games advance to the semifinals on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The losers of Friday's games play the first game of the day, at 1 p.m., while the winner of that contest faces the loser of the semifinal matchup. The third game begins at 6 p.m.
The championship game is at 3 p.m. on Sunday, and an “if” game will follow 30 minutes later. The winner advances to the regional tournament, which will be hosted by Fallon at the end of the month.
Rex Mayo returns to coach the Fallon all-stars, who include Sage Orozco, Johnny Mayo, Branden Beeghly, Kyle Larsen, Dillon Rasmussen, Clay Davison, Aaron and Evan Bitter, Chase McElvain, Marshall Coverston, Nolin Rusk and Shawn Rigsby.
