Transportation in Fallon

Fallon lies on the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and U.S. Highway 95. Highway 50, dubbed the “Loneliest Road in America,” runs east-west across the state of Nevada and roughly parallels the Pony Express Route of the old West. Highway 95 runs north to Interstate 80 and Lovelock and south to Las Vegas. In fact, from Reno, the Fallon route is the fastest way to Las Vegas. From Reno, take Interstate 80 east to the second Fernley exit, exit 48. The exit winds around to Alternate Highway 50, which takes you into Fallon. Then, take U.S. 95 south to Las Vegas.
