To Aid the Newcomers
The committee appointed by the Fallon Commercial Club to work with the Southern Pacific Company in the matter of immigration to the Carson Sink has decided on a plan of action. First, to form an acquaintance with all newcomers and inspire them with the possibilities of the county before a Knocker gets a hold of them. Second, to start them right in the way of locating on new land. We desire that every homesteader who feels he is unable to make good, come to us so we can intelligently lay the matter before him. We will be at the service of every man who is a booster for Fallon and the Carson Sink.
A word to the public in the matter of Knocking. We have many of them in this community. Some knock because they were born that way, others because they are worried and don’t know when they do it. Nevertheless, they knock, and many a man with money is driven away who might have stayed if a little enthusiasm was handed him.

Plane Rushed Serum for Fallon Child
It didn’t take long for one of the Boeing planes to get serum to a sick little girl in Fallon Sunday. It was an order given over the phone in the middle of the night to a San Francisco laboratory and the serum was in Fallon the next morning. Had they waited for an automobile or the train, it is possible that the patient would not have recovered. Apparently she at once started on the road to recovery.
