CAC Presents Concert of Latin Music with Grupo Fantasma

The Churchill Arts Council, will present a concert of Latin music with Grupo Fantasma at 8 p.m. on Oct. 18 in the Barkley Theatre at the Oats Park Art Center, 151 E. Park St.

Tickets are $17 for CAC members, $20 for non-members, $10 for students, and are available at Jeff’s Copy Express, Postage Plus, ITT @ NAS Fallon, or by calling CAC at 423-1440. Doors open at 7 p.m. and there will be a no-host bar. There will also be a free and open to the public Preview/Conversation with the artists at 3 p.m. at the Art Center; if you are interested in attending, please call CAC.

Grupo Fantasma has been hailed as the funkiest, finest and hardest-working Latin orchestra playing today. The twelve member ensemble is guided by deep roots of cumbia and salsa, but they also bring funk, rock and psychedelia into the mix, forging a fresh new standard of excellence for pan-Latin music.
