CC Communications 11th Annual Phone Directory Cover Contest is being held to choose a cover for the 2009-2010 CC Communications Telephone Directory. This year's theme is "Shaping the Future of Churchill County."
Entries will be accepted now through 5 p.m. Nov. 10. The cost is $5 per entry and all proceeds will be donated to Churchill County Parks and Recreation.
The first place winner will take home $350 dollars and have their photo, drawing or painting displayed on the cover of the 2009-2010 telephone directory. There will also be prizes for the 2nd and 3rd place winners. The 2nd and 3rd place winning entries will also be featured in the community section of the 2009-2010 telephone directory.
Churchill County is fortunate to have so many examples of what shapes a community for the future including its youth, education, the Arts, agriculture, quality of life and NAS Fallon.
This contest is held annually to give residents of Churchill County a chance to contribute to the development of the telephone directory, show off local talent as well as help raise money for a local charity. In the past some of the local charities that have received proceeds are: Domestic Violence Intervention, CAPS (Churchill Animal Protection Society) and Fallon Families First.
For more information or to pick up an entry packet, please stop by CC Communications at 1750 West Williams Avenue between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
