Sept. 10 - Fernley Chamber Mixer hosted by Kent's Supply Center, 260 Logan Road, from 4-7 p.m. Join the chamber for an evening of networking and camaraderie, along with barbecue hot dogs, salad, beer and wine. Kent's plans another Support Out Troops campaign for September, so please bring something for the collection barrel.

Sept. 11 - 9/11 Remembrance ceremony at the Out of Town Park from 9-11 a.m. This annual remembrance will commemorate the victims of 9/11 and honor the men and women of service who protect us abroad and here at home. Honor Guard and special performance by bagpipe group the Sierra Highlanders.
Sept. 11 - Fernley Rotary meets Thursdays at the Frontier Fun Center Bowling Alley. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., meeting starts at noon. Following the luncheon meetings is Rotary Golf at the Fernley Golf Course at 2 p.m.
Sept. 13-14 - Rail Days at the Fernley Depot, 675 E. Main St., presented by the Fernley Preservation Society. Raffle tickets are available for the Starbucks basket. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. For more information contact Louise at 575-7394 or the preservation society at 575-2515.
