McConnell graduates with dental doctorate

Mindy Michon McConnell graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, School of Dental Medicine May 17 with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine Degree.

Mindy was honored by the professors of the Dental School with the Delta Dental Leadership award of $2,500 and was selected for the Prosthodontics Society award.

Upon graduation, Mindy was selected for a residency program at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Portland, Ore. in connection with the Oregon Health Science University. Upon completion of the residency program, Mindy plans to stay in the Portland area.

Mindy is the daughter of Lyman and Sandy McConnell and was an honors graduate from Churchill County High School in 1998.
