My daughter had a grand-mal seizure for no apparent reason Saturday night.
We want to first thank and praise the quick response and compassion of the Churchill County Sheriff's Department. They were not only on scene before the seizure had even stopped, but were able to help me cope with a very scary situation.
The ambulance team was swamped with work Saturday night yet they were wonderful and efficient. I thank them so much for easing my worry and getting us across town and delivered to the hospital in record time. I know it was because they had another call to go to - but thank you.
The next several hours were some of the hardest I have ever had, and I want to thank the morning ER crew of May 4 for their actual care, concern and attention. If not for them, I might not have ever set foot in Banner Churchill Hospital again. All the morning nurses, EMTs, radiologists and Dr, Aikins are to commended for going out of their way to show us compassion and caring.
Thanks for the "lousy" cup of coffee - you don't know how much that simple gesture meant to me after a long night sitting on the edge of a hard stretcher waiting ... waiting. ... and worrying.
Bless you all, and I hope no one ever has to sit scared and alone at a hospital ER ever.
