Jasper "Jesse" Maurice Wheeler
Jasper "Jesse" Maurice Wheeler, 90, longtime resident of Fallon passed away at his home on April 29,2008.
Jesse was born May 1,1917, in Colorado to John and Sarah Wheeler. He lived in Fallon since 1957 moving here from Hawthorne to work Civil Service at the boiler house at NAS Fallon, a job he retired from some 30 years later.
Jesse was a WWII Veteran serving in the US Navy. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved rockhounding and mining.
Jesse is survived by his wife Edith "Edie" Wheeler of Fallon and numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. To 2 p.m. on Sunday at The Gardens Funeral Home. Graveside services with Military Honors will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Churchill County Cemetery.
