Frances Pearl Quam
Frances Pearl Quam, 89, passed away March 22, 2008 at Banner Churchill Community Hospital with her son at her side.
Frances was born in Tolna, N.D. to Leon and Alma (Smith) Turcotte on July 21,1918. She lived in Fallon for 11 years, moving here to be closer to family.
Most of her younger years were spent working as a bartender. She was a homemaker for many years, enjoying quilting and going fishing when the occasion came about.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Bill, Henry and Ernest; sisters Florence and Mamie and husband, Sidney Quam in 1973.
Frances is survived by her son Robert (Doc) Quam of Fallon; grandsons Brian Quam of Okinawa, Japan; Glenn Quam of Dighton, Mass.; and Yancey Quam of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and several great-grandchildren.
There will be no services locally. Inurnment will take place in North Dakota with her husband.
Arrangements are under the direction of The Gardens Funeral Home in Fallon, 423-8928.
