The Elko Indians won both the boys' and girls' divisions at its annual track and field meet Saturday.

The Greenwave took second in both the boys and girls with 176.5 and 133 points, respectively. Elko won the boys with 212 points and the girls with 297.


The Fallon boys had three first-place finishes with Greg Heck winning in pole vault and Michael Goodrick taking the 110-meter hurdles. Heck cleared 12 feet, 6 inches, and Goodrick won in 17.40 seconds. The team of Russell Smith, Anthony Woller, Rosalio Silva and Buster Litton won the 4x100-meter relay in 47.07.

The Greenwave took second place in nine events including two relays and four field events.

Silva took second in the 200-meter dash in 24.37 and Fike Johnson ran the 1600-meter run in 4:53. Goodrick finished the 300-meter hurdles in 45.03, and cleared 5-10 in the high jump. Woller jumped 38 feet in the triple jump, and Zarek Sanchez cleared 9-6 in polevault. Litton took second in discus at 132-3.


The 4x200 team of Dexter Daum, Charlie Heck, Silva andSmith took second in 1:41, and the 4x800 team of Daum, Johnson, Sam and Noel Ugalde finished second in 9:37. The 4x400 team took third as did Daum in triple jump, Johnson in the 3200-meter run, Woller in the 200, Smith in the 400 and Robby Harrison in shot put.

Jasmine Mauga was the only one to win her events as she placed first in shot put and discus with respective marks of 35-9 and 93-3.

Fallon recorded five second-place finishes and four third-place finishes.


Kaitlynn Mattern took second in the 800 with a time of 2:41 and four relay teams also came in second.

The 4x100 team of Crystal Grenameyer, Kloei Humphrey, Gabby Silva and Madison Murray finished in 55.68, and Blair Lawton, Kara Ussery, Pam White and Katherine Withers ran the 4x200 in 2:01. The 4x400 team of Carly Martin, Mattern, Withers and Murray finished in 11:36.

White took third in the 100-meter hurdles in 17:56, and Echo VanReed ran the 3200 in 13:33 for third. Withers took third in the triple jump at 30-4, and Megan Yost cleared 6-6 for third in polevault.
