Carson City - Sierra Nevada Media Group, with offices in Carson City, has announced the launch of a new magazine, "Sierra Nevada Boomers," on Tuesday.
The new 68-page glossy magazine celebrates the active lifestyles of area Boomers, totaling more than 147,000 in the Reno/Tahoe market.
Baby Boomers will continue to shape our nation's and our region's culture as the generation matures. Sending off the last of their children to college, becoming "empty nesters", determining their new "place in life" and closing in on retirement, the generation now has a distinct lifestyle that allows them to travel and enjoy new things and new passions.
In addition to the quarterly magazine, a Web site has been created celebrating life over 50.
As a viewer, you will be invited to start thinking about your unprecedented opportunities to travel and explore, to re-invent your career, to nurture relationships, and to give back to your community. Designed to give users all the tools needed to interact with Baby Boomers in the region, community members are invited to log onto "SierraNevadaBoomers.com" to see the new site, submit photos, content, story ideas and more.
Enjoy stories to help you plan your next vacation, financial investments or your next golf outing.
Swift Communications is the parent company of Sierra Nevada Media Group, which owns the Tahoe Daily Tribune, Sierra Sun, Tahoe World, North Lake Tahoe Bonanza, The Record Courier, Lahontan Valley News and the Nevada Appeal.
The magazine is available at a newsstand near you throughout the Reno/Tahoe/Carson Market or at the Lahontan Valley News.
