Bettye LaVette is one of the greatest soul singers in American music history. Her voice is a force of naturesomething to be reckoned with, and the ground she mines is the overlapping domains of American music where country, soul, blues, gospel and folk-pop meet. She imbues all these genres with a rawly forged ambiance and a palpable sense of loss.

She will be touring in support of her latest CD, Scene of the Crime which was just released to rave reviews in USA Today, Rolling Stone, People, Mojo and many other publications.
