Museum fur trapping presentation offered today at 7:30 p.m.

The fall lecture series at the Churchill County Museum continues today with a presentation on the fur trapping trade and Peter Skene Ogden’s expeditions. Karen McNary will tell the tale of Ogden, who was sent into Nevada in search of beaver fur. Alva Case will detail the life of mountain men who trapped and traded for a living. The lecture begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be held in the museum’s changing exhibit gallery. The museum is located at 1050 S. Maine St.
