An abandoned brothel 13 miles east of Fallon burnt to the ground Sunday morning in a fire officials are calling "suspicious."
The Fallon-Churchill County Volunteer Fire Department was called out just after 5 a.m. to Salt Wells on a report that the main building and attached single-wide mobile homes were ablaze. The inferno is suspicious because there was no electricity going to any of the aged structures. When the brothel was in operation, generators were used to provide power.
First Assistant Fire Chief Kurt Henning said Monday firefighters were only able to save one exterior building and part of a pump house.
"The only thing left is the trailer frames," Henning said.
