The American Car Wash owner won all events and the singles event for Division I at the Nevada State USBC Bowling Association Open Tournament held between April and June in Mesquite.

"These are by far the best awards," said Montana, who's also won the 700 series award and placed 13th at nationals in doubles with his brother. "These are the biggest awards I've won bowling wise."

Montana finished the tournament with a 2,351 total for nine games, averaging 261 per game in his all-event victory. He ended the singles event with a total of 857 for three games, averaging 245 a game. Montana bowled a 248, 245 and 246.

Montana said the competition was tough for the entire tournament.

"It feels good to win it with that many good bowlers," he said. "It was a tough competition. It's pretty good to see your name on the top of the list."

Gerry McFall, a representative for the Nevada State USBC Bowling Association Board of Directors and member of the Fallon USBC Bowling Association, presented Montana with two plaques along with Steve Nunn, president of the Fallon USBC Bowling Association.

"It's a major accomplishment for someone from Fallon to go down there and win all the events," McFall said.

McFall and Nunn also participated in the three-month tournament in Mesquite.

"That's big talent in a small town," Nunn said.
