Greenwave wrestling club has successful outing at state

The Greenwave Youth Wrestling Club wrapped up its regular season at last weekend's state tournament and then treated the grapplers to a pizza and bowling party Saturday.

The club had three triple crown winners or those boys who won the Greco, folkstyle and freestyle divisions.

Those wrestlers who captured all three divisions were Talon Amerzquita, Cameron Matzen, Bradlee Stands, Brennan Lewis and Trevor Parsons.

The following are the individual results:.

Sean McCormick (rookie): Greco, first; folkstyle, first; and freestyle, second.

Derek Stevenson (bantam): folkstyle, fourth.

Garrett Smith (bantam): Greco, fifth; folkstyle, eighth; freestyle, seventh.

Conner Nelson (bantam): freestyle, fifth.

Chase Hyde (bantam): Greco, second; freestyle, fourth.

Kobe Abe (bantam): Greco, eight; freestyle, seventh.

Robert Schostag (bantam): Greco, fourth; folkstyle, fourth; and freestyle, sixth.

David Hughes (midget): Greco, first; folkstyle, first; freestyle, second.

Sage Mori (midget): folkstyle, sixth; freestyle, seventh; and Greco, eighth.
